Visit Site

Creative responsive website for the medieval town of Tewkesbury

Working for 'Mosaique Creative & Marketing' I was responsible for the front-end and backend development for 'Visit Tewkesbury' website. After design approval I turned the static design into an interactive website.

The website has a composition of full width hero images to showcase the stunning surroundings of the medieval town. The animation & transition were created using CSS to boost performance on both desktop and mobile. A ‘sticky’ navigation that hides while the user is scrolling down & reappears when the user scrolls back up. Each page has a theme colour, and the CSS is built using LESS preprocessors.

After I built the static html template, I have created various razor templates and linked it up to my favorite CMS, 'Umbraco 7'. Setting up independent and editable modules including carousels, accordions, tabs and various UI components. The site has thousands of visits a week with 6 min session duration.
